Who we are

Speech and language therapists, technicians and administrators work for the Langlearn Speech and Language Therapy practice. All speech and language therapists working with the team are registered with the Health Professions Council and are members of the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice

Dr Liz Dean

The team is led by Dr Liz Dean who has 30 years experience working within the NHS and charitable sectors as well as in the education of Speech and Language Therapy students. She is registered with the Health Professions Council and is a member of the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice.

Liz has written many publications, and specializes in the communication difficulties that arise as a result of learning disability and complex disability; as well as in developmental speech and language disorders, and acquired communication disorders following stroke or head injury.

Liz is particularly committed to working in collaboration with families, teachers and support staff to provide and integrated approach to maximizing communication skills.

Yvonne Rowe

Yvonne co-ordinates the technical support provided by Langlearn. She has worked as a draftswoman, a communication tutor and a support worker for students at a residential College. Yvonne has specialist skills in working with young adults with learning disabilities.

Langlearn offers a range of accessible resources tailor made to your, and your family's, needs.

Chris Palmer

Chris co-ordinates the administrative support for Langlearn.

Mick Donnelly

Mick provides administrative and telephone support.

Looking for a new direction?

If you are a suitably qualified speech and language therapist who has HPC registration, Langlearn would be interested in hearing from you. All associate speech and language therapists work on a self employed and part time basis.

Langlearn is continually taking on new contracts and is committed to having specialist staff who can provide a high level service.
