Independence Through Communication -A new product!

Alison Barnes and Dr Liz Dean from Langlearn are publishing the Independence Through Communication Programme (ITC ) through Black Sheep Press. This Social Communication Programme is primarily designed for young people using an inclusive communication strategy.

The programme is modular and can be delivered by a speech and language therapist or a teacher. It has a range of activities which focus on listening, expressing yourself, explaining your ideas, making choices and making friends

Langlearn Widgit Centre

the Communicate: Series and Boardmaker

This new initiative has been created to help Widgit clients throughout the UK by identifying organisations that have knowledge and experience in using Widgit products.

By supporting Widgit Centres like Langlearn with the most up to date information on product and resource development we are able to share our experience and knowledge directly with clients in their personal and unique situations

Widgit Centres will lend a helping hand and share what they can with those that need it. Upon request we will share information and product knowledge and may also provide:

  • training
  • assessment
  • facilities for hands-on access to products
